Cloud Backup to Google Cloud Storage from Zmanda


Zmanda's cloud backup offerings are now natively integrated (using RESTful API and object storage) with Google Cloud Storage.

Google Cloud Storage (GCS) is a highly reliable (backed by 99.9% SLA), secure and scalable location to store your backup images. Using Amanda Enterprise you can select GCS to be the backup location for one or more of your backup sets. You can also vault backup images from local disk to GCS on a periodic basis (D2D2C).

You can backup all types of clients and applications supported by Amanda Enterprise to GCS. You need to obtain your own GCS account, and billing for cloud storage will be done directly by Google. You can also monitor and access your backup data using standard tools provided by Google (e.g. Google Storage Manager).
